Join us in the City-by-the-Sea for this stunning marathon, half marathon and 5k. Newport Rhode Races partners with the upcoming Annual Newport Daffodil Days Festival to give you a true Spring Newport Experience. Our courses will pass along many of the over 1,200,000 starting to bloom around the City by the Sea. (We'll call it Dash through the Daffodils!)
The Marathon will start at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Easton's Beach in Newport, RI. The Half Marathon will start at 8:00 a.m. from the same location. The 5k will follow at 8:30 am - all from the same beautiful seaside start.
Beach Mile will start at noontime, on the beach adjacent to the finish line. It is an out and back on Easton’s Beach, finishing under the Race Arch. As the race is on the beach, please plan for uneven surfaces, beach debris, seaweed, shells, all those wonderful items that we love about the ocean. This will be part of the challenge of completing the course.
The marathon course is USATF certified and is a Boston Marathon Qualifier.

Please Note: Newport Rhode Races will be happening rain or shine. Because of the logistics of planning for a race of this size, we cannot offer refunds for any reason. In the event that weather is severe enough to create an unsafe environment for participants, organizers will cancel the event with no refunds issued.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
There are no age restrictions but you must show your ID when picking up your bib.
Can I defer or transfer my race registration?
Yes - you can transfer your bib, transfer your race entry to select other races in our portfolio within one year, or defer your entry to next year's race. Transfer and deferral requests must be received before online registration closes, Wednesday before race day at 6p. Please visit this link for steps to complete this procedure.
How do I check on my race registration?
Please visit RunSignup.com/profile to verify your race entry and make any changes - profile updates, upgrades/downgrades, transfers, deferrals, etc.
Where and when is packet pick up?
Times are located on our website at this link. Please note - race packets MUST be picked up in advance of race day unless you have reserved RACE DAY packet pick up during the registration process.
How do I add on RACE DAY BIB PICK UP?
In order to encourage more people to pick up in advance of race day, we are charging a nominal fee for race day bib pick up. This is to ensure we plan for the correct amount of participants planning on picking up on race morning, limit the amount of people picking up on race morning to ensure we can get everyone checked in quickly, and to off set any costs associated with picking up early. We apologize for this inconvenience but our hope is to ensure a smooth race day for all of our participants with proper planning.

Is there a discount for groups or teams?
YES! Individuals can refer 3 friends using their unique referral code and receive $15 back - or - for larger groups of 10 or more, each member of the group will receive $5 to $15 in refunds, depending on the size of the group!
